Mixed teams of boys and girls, games on Saturday mornings, and training on Wednesday afternoons at CB Wilson Reserve. No experience needed.

Juniors play in the Dandenong Baseball Association winter competition from late April to early September. All junior teams are mixed.
U11 · Rookie Ball

U13
Under 13 on 1 September
Building skills across every position.
U15
Under 15 on 1 September
More competitive games. From 14, players can also play seniors.
U17
Under 17 on 1 September
Our oldest juniors. They can also play seniors.
How the cut-off works
Players must be under the age of their group on 1 September of that year. For example, a player who turns 13 before 1 September plays U15.Which age group?
Enter your child's date of birth to see their winter age group.
Age groups use your child's age on 1 September of the season year. Please check with the club if you're unsure.
A junior week
What to expect
Wednesday training
4:30–5:30pm at CB Wilson Reserve. The club dinner follows senior training, from about 7:30pm, and families are welcome.
Saturday games
Games run from 9:00 to 10:30am, home and away across the DBA.
Uniform
Pirates cap and jersey, white pants, black socks, belt and undershirt, and moulded cleats (no metal for juniors).

Junior questions
Do they need any gear to start?
Just a drink bottle and a hat for their first sessions. We have loan gear, so no equipment or experience is needed to try.
Can girls play?
Yes. All our junior teams are mixed, with boys and girls playing together.
How much does it cost?
Registration covers player registration and insurance with Baseball Australia. Uniform items are extra. See Register for how it works.
Can we try before we register?
Absolutely. Come along to a Wednesday training at 4:30pm. Let us know you're coming: email secretary@morningtonbaseballclub.com.au.
Is there junior baseball in summer?
Juniors play in winter. Over summer our teams are seniors and masters in the VSBL. Older juniors can play seniors from age 14.
